What are the best poems written in the English Langugage? There have been some excellent anthologies published over the years, but I haven't found any that bring together verse highly regarded by both academics and the general public. Furthermore many anthologies are very narrow in what they consider serious poetry. This is my attempt to compile an inclusive anthology of what I think are the best poems in the world, including some forms that are not poems in the strictest sense. Below they are listed by author, but there are selections based on specific criteria here.
