Eighteen new ski lifts and cable cars are mooted with key new lifts including connections between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Andermatt&#8217;s new Hotel Chedi to N\u00e4tschen<\/li>\n<li>Hospental to Gemsstock<\/li>\n<li>G\u00f6schenen to N\u00e4tschen-G\u00fctsch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oatridge.co.uk\/nic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/HBuls6Hx_Pxgen_r_Ax480.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oatridge.co.uk\/nic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/HBuls6Hx_Pxgen_r_Ax480-191x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"HBuls6Hx_Pxgen_r_Ax480\" width=\"191\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-896\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.oatridge.co.uk\/nic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/HBuls6Hx_Pxgen_r_Ax480-191x300.jpg 191w, https:\/\/www.oatridge.co.uk\/nic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/HBuls6Hx_Pxgen_r_Ax480.jpg 307w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/><\/a>Environmetal concerns have put many other Alpine expansion plans on hold, and there has been some environmental opposition to aspects of Sawiris&#8217;s plans, but the economic benefits to the communities either side of the Oberalp Pass swayed the authorities in favour of the plans.
